Year 3 Healthy Eating

As a part of our healthy eating drive in DT the children had the opportunity to make and bake a Bran Flake Loaf using sugar swaps.  Using all the correct equipment the children carefully measured out the ingredients, cracked eggs (a first for some), chopped and whisked.  Fun was had by all and a slice of the loaf sent home for the children to enjoy.

Modern Foreign Languages Week

(Festivals of the World)

At Hacton this week, we will be celebrating different festivals and carnivals from around the world.

Year 3 in particular, will be focusing on: The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

We will be:-

• Conducting research.

• Completing an application form.

• Creating promotional material.

• Performing an 'act'.

Languages Week

This week Hacton will be celebrating different festivals an Carnivals from around the world.


Year 4 in particular, will be focusing on: The Carnival of Venice, Balloon fiesta, Fashion week, Olympics around the world and St Patricks Day.

In Year 3 this week, we will be learning:

• how to turn notes into full sentences.
• to write in the past tense and first person.
• to edit and improve our writing.

Mathematics

In Year 3 this week, we will be learning:

• to use RUCSAC and the formal written method for multiplication to solve word problems.
