Year 3 -Roman Shields

In History, year 3 have been enjoying learning about the Romans and in preparation for our Roman day (Tuesday 13th) we have made some authentic Roman shields. First we painted the red and silver sections then we added the arrow design and gold around the edges. We look forward to using them as part of our costume.

• be writing our own autobiography

Mathematics

In Year 3 this week, we will :

• be learning to apply the formal written method of multiplication to word problems.
• applying chunking to solve division word problems.

Year 4 PE - Hocky

This week in PE Year 4 learnt how to control a hockey stick, dribble a ball with their sticks and even had a chance to score some goals and defend in a mini game! Next week they will be working on their ball control!

Year 4 Tennis

For the past two in PE, Year 4 have been learning about the famous summer sport, tennis! In the first week they learnt how to use a tennis racket in a controlled manner. This week they have learnt about the importance of footwork to ensure they make contact with the ball.
