Year 3 trip to Layer Marney Tower

Year 3 experienced life as a Tudor today during our visit to Layer Marney Tower. They discussed how food and drinks were sourced during the Tudor period, experienced life in a Tudor school through reading, writing with quill and ink and also learning to count to 10 in Latin. In addition, they were lucky enough to climb the tallest Tudor tower in England, measuring 85ft with an astonishing spiral staircase with 99 steps. They finished the day off learning about Tudor clothing and were even given the opportunity to complete their own weaved pattern. What a fantastic opportunity to further develop their learning of the Tudors.
