In Year 3 this week, we will learn:

to compare unit fractions and those with the same denominators.
to order fractions.
to find fractions of quanities.

In Year 3 this week, we will learn:

to think about structure and layout to form a comic strip.
to use commas for extra detail.

Mathematics

In Year 3 this week, we will learn:

to add groups of numbers using the column method.
to solve word problems using the column method.

Year 4 Weekly Objectives w/c 20/02/17

Literacy

In Year 4 this week, we will learn:

To writing introductions and descriptions of our own characters based on The Iron Man;
To write subordinate clauses using subordinating conjunctions;
To write sentences with relative clauses;
To spell words with the suffix -ous.

Mathematics

In Year 4 this week, we will learn:

To round to the nearest 10, 100, 1000 and whole number.
To add and subtract money using the formal written method.
To use RUCSAC to solve word problems.

to use inverse in 4's and 8 times tables.

to know and use our 7 times tables confidently.
to use divisions for the 7 times tables more accurately.
To use our knowledge of derived multiplication facts to answer questions.
