Year 3 Roman Day- Part 2

The young Romans returned from break to find that they had now entered 'Roman School'. With their Magistri (teachers) watching on, they learnt how to use and abacus to make numbers and complete calculations and enjoyed a music lesson, practising dulcic tones on the pipes.

Suddenly they found themselves transported to the city where they watched a gladiator fight and chose the fate of the losing competitor. Afterwards, they traded; checking the weight of an item in order to decide the price, before checking out the slave market where there was an array of human stock awaiting purchase.
