• to write a formal letter, giving opinions with reasons.
• to respond to a letter.

Mathematics

In Year 3 this week, we will be learning:

• to partition numbers beyond 999 in different ways. E.g. 1342 = 1000 + 342 or 1000 + 300 + 10 + 32.
• to use the column method for additions beyond 999 with carrying in multiple columns. 
• to use the column method for subtraction sums with answers beyond 999 where borrowing is required in multiple columns.
